On Monday, President Donald J. Trump will award the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Devin Nunes. This prestigious award is the Nation’s highest civilian honor, which is awarded by the President to individuals who have made especially meritorious contributions to the security or national interests of the United States, to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.
Devin grew up on a farm in California’s San Joaquin Valley. Since his election to Congress in 2002 at the age of 29, he has been a tireless fighter for the farmers of California, waging a long and successful battle to bring water to the Central Valley. In 2014, Devin was selected to chair the House Intelligence Committee. As Chairman, he confronted Russian aggression and opposed the Iran Nuclear Deal. Against fierce opposition, he led the effort to declassify documents seized in the bin Laden raid that showed Al Qaeda’s collaboration with Iran.
In 2017, Congressman Nunes launched an investigation into the Obama-Biden administration’s misconduct during the 2016 election – and began to unearth the crime of the century. As a result of his work, he discovered that the infamous Steele Dossier was funded by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee. He found that a senior Justice Department attorney was married to one of the architects of the document. He learned that the Obama-Biden administration had issued Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants to spy on President Trump’s campaign and illegitimately unmasked several innocent spying victims for political gain.
Devin Nunes’ courageous actions helped thwart a plot to take down a sitting United States president. Devin’s efforts led to the firing, demotion, or resignation of over a dozen FBI and DOJ employees. He also forced the disclosure of documents that proved that a corrupt senior FBI official pursued a vindictive persecution of General Michael Flynn — even after rank and file FBI agents found no evidence of wrongdoing.
Congressman Nunes pursued the Russia Hoax at great personal risk and never stopped standing up for the truth. He had the fortitude to take on the media, the FBI, the Intelligence Community, the Democrat Party, foreign spies, and the full power of the Deep State. Devin paid a price for his courage. The media smeared him and liberal activists opened a frivolous and unjustified ethics investigation, dragging his name through the mud for eight long months. Two dozen members of his family received threatening phone calls – including his 98 year old grandmother.

Once President, Biden should retire the PMF and create something to replace it. Trump has tarnished it beyond redemption.
Given recent events, the medal should be known as the Fascist Medal of Insurrectionist Treason.
Devin must be so proud of doing Putin’s work.
Trump’s picks for this award says as much about him as it does these recipients…..main qualification is a total lack of character, a total lack of integrity, and a total lack of putting country before political and personal agendas. Trump should award it to himself before slinking out of the White House so the entire disinfecting of building can begin.
Congratulations Mr. Nunes on receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom. It takes a strong man to go up against many of his colleagues to unearth the truth. It’s sad that in America today not only our elected leaders but many of our American citizens are complacent with illegal activities by those who are suppose to be representing the American people. Corruption in DC has been going on for decades but when a patriot such as yourself tries to bring light to it, he is criticized instead thanked. We need more representatives like yourself to stand up for America & our constitution instead of those constantly trying to tear it down & rewrite or reinterpret what it stands for.

Romney, a usually composed political, rose to speak shortly after and his anger at colleagues like Hawley was evident.
“What happened here today was an insurrection, incited by the President of the United States,” Romney said. “Those who choose to continue to support his dangerous gambit by objecting to the results of a legitimate, democratic election will forever be seen as being complicit in an unprecedented attack against our democracy.”
Devin Nunes, Republican of Tulare County was one of those objecting to the results of a legitimate, democratic election. In Mitt Romney’s words, Devin (and others) was “… complicit in an unprecedented attack against our democracy.”

The same that merited Joe Biden being awarded. Who in their right minds quotes CNN to make they point. You would be better off quoting Facebook. Come on Mahoney.
Come on Sablik do some research. You weren’t in Congress to listen and watch what took place, CNN and Mitt Romney were.

He also worked as Vice President for 8 years to advance the needs of Americans. And 2 months ago, he was elected President by a majority of the US electorate.
Meanwhile, Devin served as Trump’s mole in the House Intelligence Committee delivering confidential committee business records at night to Trump. Devin went on a secret trip to Austria to meet phony “confidential sources” that would help Trump’s election, and billed taxpayers for his “investigation.” (An ethics investigation of Devin on this matter is pending.) He tried unsuccessfully to pressure the US military to establish an unnecessary and wasteful airbase in the Azores – and received a special medal for his efforts from the Azores (do some research and read about it). And he loves to sue Americans for laughing at him, all his suits have been tossed out by the courts (he paid for the lawsuits with campaign dollars).
Or maybe his efforts for the country can be seen in all the town hall meetings he’s held in Visalia to talk with local voters about their needs. (There have been none.)
One day after Trump promoted a riot to take over the US Capitol (Jan. 6th), Devin stood up in the House and voted to deny the legal votes of Biden voters in multiple states (He supported Trump’s bogus claims). Devin made an effort to deny Americans in other states their constitutional voting rights (how would you view other states working to invalidate Tulare County voters?). What a patriot.
Devin hasn’t done much for Visalia, or the U.S., but certainly tried to do a lot for Trump and his own political needs.
So my question Felip is the same, what did Devin do to merit a Presidential Medal of Freedom? Maybe you can provide a list?
And skip the “what about” comments, they say nothing.

Comically, both John and Barbara assume I am a Nunes supporter. Comically, they automatically defend their all mighty savior of Biden. Comically they challenge me to formulate some list as if I care. I am apolitical, Biden and Nunes have done nothing to deserve the honor of the Medical of Freedom. You see where this is going John and Barb. Your type is so judgmental. You preach and judge like you are the righteous. I bet you self proclaimed Christians too. Wonder how that will work when you enter your heaven, and have to explain why you constantly judged everyone. Maybe you should go read Mathew 7: 1-5. You may want to quit assuming, and especillay so judgmental, as it’s protrays the both of you as intellectually challenged.
