The Tulare County Youth Commission will now be accepting applications for their 2018-19 Step Up Youth Activities Grant program.
The Step Up Youth Activities Grant program allocates $100,000 for grants to non-profit organizations that operate within in Tulare County. There is $20,000 in funding available for each of the five supervisorial districts. Awarded grants can range from $5,000 to $10,000. The Step Up Youth Activities Grant Program is designed to provide financial support for non-profit organizations that provide programs and services aimed at improving the quality of life for under-served youth in Tulare County. Programs must address behaviors that are potentially harmful to youth and redirect them into positive behaviors, associations, and social networks.
To assist organizations in their application for this grant, the Tulare County Youth Commission will be hosting a non-mandatory grant-writing workshop that will be held for all agencies considering applying for this funding. The workshop will go over the application process and will answer questions from interested organizations. Organizations that have never applied to this grant are strongly encouraged to attend. The workshop will take place on Thursday, March 1 at 3pm. It will be held at the Tulare County Board of Supervisors office, located at 2800 W. Burrel in Visalia.
