Visalia Medical Clinic will celebrate its 75th anniversary with a health festival from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 24.
The public event, to be held at the clinic at 5400 W. Hillsdale, will feature free glucose, cholesterol and blood pressure tests, and children are encouraged to bring their bike and helmet to participate in the bike rodeo, and safety checks by the CHP. Child car seat checks will also be offered by the CHP, and attendees can donate blood at the mobile blood bank.
Visalia police and fire are expected to be on hand, along with George the Giraffe from Valley Children’s Hospital.
VMC departments will have booths and information, along with vendor booths. Attendees can complete their “passport” and enter to win a variety of prizes.
The celebration will include a circus booth and a booth featuring old medical equipment and VMC photos in honor of the 75th anniversary. Attendees can meet VMC’s new providers and the patient coordinator will provide information to prospective new patients.
Visalia Medical Clinic offers the expertise of more than 50 providers.
