Mitchell has released five CDs of cowboy poetry, beginning with Lone Driftin Rider (1992), Buckaroo Poet, Waddie Mitchell Live, That No Quit Attitude and Sweat Equity (2014). His joint effort with award-winning singer-songwriter Juni Fisher on Who They Are is already considered a classic.
Mitchell was among the cowboy poets invited to appear on “The Tonight Show” with host Johnny Carson. He has also appeared on “Larry King Live,” “Good Morning America,” TNN, The History Channel, PBS and CMT. He’s been featured in publications such as: People, Life, USA Today, Fortune, National Geographic, Wall Street Journal and Review Journal. He was also on the cover of Western Horseman magazine.
