The Cowboy Cultural Committee will present the Visalia Roundup, the 23rd Annual Cowboy Poetry & Music Gathering, featuring cowboy poetry and music by Nancy Lee, Gary Robertson and The Saddle Cats.
The Cowboy Cultural Committee was the brainchild of Lani Hernandez of Visalia and each year, the event seems to grow a bit larger. From three or four Dutch ovens, the event has grown to 40 iron pots spread out on the iron tables used to cook on. This year’s menu features a plate of tri-tip, beans and salad, and Dutch oven-cooked peach cobbler.
The weekend will end on Sunday morning with Cowboy Church outside under the big oak tree.
